MISSION To educate and motivate individuals to plan their estates in a legally correct manner that reflects their values, benefits those they care about, and includes support for those charities that are important in their lives. HISTORY Leave a Legacy is a public awareness campaign launched in Seattle in 1999 to educate and inspire people of Western Washington to make charitable gifts in their wills and estate plans. Leave a Legacy of Western Washington is a part of the Washington Planned Giving Council. Over 550 community non-profit organizations have joined LALWW and received assistance in establishing planned giving programs at their organizations. Individuals access this site to obtain information on ways in which they can leave legacy gifts as part of their estate plans. Attorneys, accountants, and financial planners often access this site to gather information on area charities and charitable giving opportunities. Leave A Legacy of Western Washington is a volunteer organization. There is no charge to non-profits, individuals, or allied professionals for utilizing the services of Leave a Legacy of Western Washington.
